Donner Lake Camping

Visitors to the Donner Lake will enjoy camping, fishing, hiking and biking. There are two campgrounds on Donner Lake offering tent, trailer, or RV camping and several more in the Tahoe Donner vicinity..

Donner Memorial State Park - 150 campground sites Located on 3 miles of Donner Lake frontage. The Emigrant Trail Museum and the Pioneer Monument is located inside the Park. Visitors have access to Donner Lake and a Boat Ramp. There are 2.5 miles of hiking trails. Call (877) 444-6777.

Tahoe Donner Campground at Alder Creek - This Campground is managed by Donner Lake. Horseshoes, badminton, ping-pong, volley ball and Group Accomodations. 42 Sites. Site of Donner party. (530) 587-9462.

Sagehen Creek - Above Donner Lake, 2 miles north of Truckee on Hwy 89. Fishing hot spot. 15 sites. (530) 587-3558.

Prosser Campground - Located on Prosser Lake 2 miles north of Truckee on Hwy 89. 29 sites. Swimming, boat ramp, fishing, on Prosser Lake. (530) 587-3558.

Martis Creek Campground - Located between Truckee and Northstar on Hwy. 267 near the Truckee Airport. Recreation area and campground surrounding the lake with1400 acres to enjoy. Trout fishing and wildlife viewing. Catch & release fishing. Dogs on leash ok. 25 sites. Call (530) 639-2342.

United Trails - Campground with 50 sites. Spa, full hook ups, laundry and general store. Take the Hirschdale exit off I-80.
