Get ready for an exhilarating new event in Lake Tahoe: the Great Gravel Ride – Lake Tahoe. This cool and exciting bike race will start and finish at the Tahoe Cross-Country Ski Area (Tahoe XC) in Tahoe City, CA. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just looking for a fun challenge, this ride has something for everyone.
Race Details
Participants can choose between a 15-mile (1 lap) or 30-mile (2 laps) course. The route offers stunning views of Lake Tahoe and takes riders through diverse terrain. From rolling hills to forested trails and beautiful meadows, this ride promises to delight your senses and give your legs and heart a solid workout.
Course Highlights
- Scenic Views: Throughout the course, riders will catch breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe.
- Terrain Variety: The course features a mix of pavement, double track, and single track, with a few short but challenging uphills.
- Strava Sections: For those who like to test themselves, there are three Strava sections: an uphill, a downhill, and a rolling section.

Course Specifics
- Distance: Choose between 15 miles (1 lap) or 30 miles (2 laps).
- Bike Requirements: Ideal for gravel bikes with 40c+ tires or hardtail mountain bikes. Pedal assist bikes are not allowed.
- Cost: $125 for adults and $75 for juniors (under 19).
