Join all bike enthusiasts, runners, and advocates for greater access to human-powered trails in Lake Tahoe for the Homewood Bike Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, September 27th at 12:00 noon, at the Homewood North Parking Lot.
After many, many years of planning and preparation the missing mile of bike trail in Homewood has now been built! TCPUD and the GEMME GROUP is excited to see this completed critical section of trail, providing continuity and improved safety for our trail users from Tahoe City to Sugar Pine State Park.
The approximate 1 mile of trail was constructed between Cherry St. to the north and Fawn St. to the south, completing the missing link on the West Shore Trail. Construction activities were located along the Highway 89 right-of-way westerly shoulder and along the Placer County roads of Silver St., Sans Souci Terrace, and Trout St. Temporary construction traffic controls were be implemented throughout construction with minor impact to vehicle traffic.
Construction Time Frame:
Construction was scheduled to begin the week of May 9th and is being completed this fall! Join us for the RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY!
