Happy Thanksgiving my esteemed colleagues, clients and dear friends,

What a crazy year, and yet I feel so grateful for all that we have endured this year. If you have been keeping up with our company this year, I have been leading you along our journey, the ever-changing challenges and blessings, and encouraging you all to redefine and “live your best life” alongside us. (It’s a full-time job…lol) We are so grateful for our clients, the growth of the Tahoe market, Sotheby’s and our global referral partners and I am particularly proud of my team for rising to our clients’ needs and keeping our small little company on track.

Tahoe Real Estate Market is holding strong with low inventory, multiple offers and has set new records with more $10+ million sales in the basin than ever before in history. We have seen the largest sale just close in Incline Village for $47.5M, and an even larger one has gone into escrow for $60M. These are staggering numbers and seem to be shattering the glass ceilings we have seen in our market in the past and are setting a new precedent for the elite in our area. And after traveling around California and speaking with other market leaders in Sotheby’s, we are not alone. 

Global Referral Network – Through the networking of Sotheby’s International Realty, we handed out almost $11 million dollars of referrals last month alone. So, in this edition you will see some of the examples of the homes and understand better how we are advising our clients beyond our local markets by introducing them to one of our trusted advisors in the areas they are moving.

Gemme Group is Expanding to Reno – I am so excited about this, we are expanding to RENO by bringing on a new member to our team. Dena Van Blaricom has been a rockstar Broker/ Realtor in Reno for the past couple of decades and has some of Reno’s largest sales in the areas history on her resume of the finest properties ever sold. See her bio below and if you have been thinking of listing or buying property in Nevada, give us a call. We will get you on the fast track to tax savings.

New Website in a New Year. Gemme Group site is dropping January 3rd. It is the brain child of Justin Hunt, our Chief Marketing Director. Keep an eye out and please share your feedback, both good and bad.

Mountain Open Dates – Well… None of us can complain about the beautiful weather we have been having, but the ski resorts need snow for us all to enjoy. Below is a reminder of the tentative mountain opening dates and the links to the passes just in case you haven’t bought yours yet.

As we wind down the final months of this year, I am thankful for all of you. The support and the trust little company. I am grateful for the friendships I have made through the process and how those circles of friends have grown. We wish you all the grace and fun, friends, families and gatherings. Hug a friend, smooch a lover, wear a costume, shake yo bootie, eat a turkey and some pie. Hopefully, we’ll see you out there on the slopes soon!
